In Richmond BC, there's an amazing indoor waterpark called Watermania. It's a public pool facility, so it's cheap (like $20 for the whole family). It features a wave pool, 2 waterslides (ages 7 and up), a water park thing in shallow water with tipping buckets, hot tubs, and (at some times of day) lane swimming and diving boards.

Season: winter or rainy days
Age: little kids (3-6) on the playpark and wave pool with floaties. Medium kids (6-9) on slides.
