The bulk of this blog is about kid-friendly adventures. Whether you're coming to visit the Sea-to-Sky, or whether you are a local dying to get away for a day or a weekend, this is the place! I'll cover anything within a day's drive, and, occasionally, further-flung trips that have a local connection.

My personal favourites (FYI my kids are elementary school aged):
LOCAL
WINTER: Valley Luminae lights. Winter Feast at the Squamish/Lilwat Cultural Centre.
SPRING: Britannia Mining Museum.
SUMMER: Camp at Birkenhead Lake. Swim at Gates Lake.
FALL: Hike the train wreck trail or ghost town loop. Bike the valley trail in Squamish and go blackberry picking. Camp at Alice Lake. Squamish airhouse or climbing wall on a rainy day.
TRIPS
WINTER: Long weekend in Richmond: Watermania, Kidtropolis, Terra Nova Park. Science World.
SPRING: Long weekend on the sunshine coast or Victoria. Daytrip to Bowen Island.
SUMMER:
Daytrip to Whytecliffe Park. Long weekend at Cultus Lake. Daytrip to Grouse Mountain.
